Space Applications for Electronics Assembly
Space applications demand exceptional reliability and quality. Electronic products used in space must withstand extreme environmental and operational conditions, making robust processes, stringent workmanship, and thorough inspection essential.
IPC Space Addenda build on established IPC standards with enhanced criteria, tighter process controls, and additional inspection requirements to help ensure the reliability and performance of mission-critical space hardware. The three key IPC Space Addenda include: IPC/WHMA-A-620 Space Addendum for cable and wire harness assemblies, IPC J-STD-001 Space Addendum (J-STD-001-S) for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies and IPC-6012 Space Addendum for rigid printed boards.
Together, these standards provide industry professionals with a comprehensive framework for implementing space-specific requirements across critical electronic hardware, helping ensure the reliability and performance needed for mission success.
Who can Attend?
Professionals involved in electronics design, manufacturing, assembly, inspection, testing, quality, and reliability for space applications, including engineers, PCB and wire harness specialists, manufacturing and process professionals, and aerospace and space electronics teams.
