IPC  PCB Inspection & SMT (Surface Mount Technology)

PCB Inspection & SMT play a vital role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of modern electronic assemblies. Within SMT processes, PCB inspection helps detect manufacturing defects such as soldering irregularities, component misalignment, and insufficient or excess solder at an early stage. By identifying these issues during or immediately after assembly, manufacturers can reduce rework, lower production costs, and prevent potential product failures, ensuring consistent product quality and efficient manufacturing.

IPC  Smart Factory

A smart factory is a digitally connected manufacturing system where machines, processes, and data operate in real time to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making. In electronics manufacturing, it enables seamless information flow across production stages such as assembly, inspection, and testing. The Global Electronics Association supports this model through IPC standards that ensure interoperability and consistent communication between systems, enabling better traceability, reduced defects, and more efficient production across the shop floor.

IPC  Who can participate?

This session is ideal for electronics manufacturing professionals involved in PCB assembly, SMT processes, inspection, quality, and smart factory implementation looking to improve manufacturing efficiency and product reliability.
