IPC  ESD Best Practices & Compliance

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is a common cause of damage to sensitive electronic components such as ICs, transistors, and diodes. It occurs when a sudden flow of electricity between objects with different electrical potentials, such as a human body and a circuit board, creates a discharge that can degrade or damage components, leading to failures and reduced reliability. Managing ESD risks through established best practices and compliance measures is essential in electronics manufacturing. This session introduces participants to the causes of ESD, along with basic principles, industry best practices, and compliance related measures required for effective ESD control and protection.

IPC  Best Practices in Wire Harness

Cable & Wire Harnesses are a vital part of the electronics manufacturing process, serving as key components for connecting printed circuit boards (PCBs) to other PCBs or to external circuitry. Wire harnesses help simplify assembly by organizing and managing interconnections, supporting efficient and consistent manufacturing. Due to their ability to address a wide range of interconnection needs, they are used extensively across industries. This technical session will focus on best practices in wire harness manufacturing, with the aim of improving quality, reliability, and consistency in production.

IPC  Best Practices in Electronics Assembly

Electronic assembly is the process of integrating electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) to build functional electronic devices. Best practices include following standardized assembly procedures, ensuring accurate component placement, applying appropriate soldering techniques, maintaining consistent process control, and performing regular inspection to support reliable and repeatable manufacturing outcomes.
