IPC is leading the charge and rallying support among our member companies and other industry groups for a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives that would, if enacted, benefit the U.S. printed circuit board (PCB) sector and the broader electronics industry supply chain.

The Supporting American Printed Circuit Boards Act of 2022 (H.R. 7677), introduced by Reps. Anna Eshoo (D-CA) and Blake Moore (R-UT), is a bipartisan proposal that would invest in the domestic electronics supply chain by incentivizing purchases of domestically produced PCBs as well as industry investments in factories, equipment, workforce training, and research and development (R&D). IPC is also working to facilitate the introduction of a Senate companion bill.

Since the House legislation was introduced on May 6, IPC’s Action Alert Center has enabled IPC members to urge their Members of Congress to support and cosponsor the bill with messages sent to 59 Members of Congress in 27 states.

Let’s build the momentum and let Congress know that the electronics industry strongly supports this bill!

Please use this easy link that will identify your U.S. representative and allow you to quickly send them a message of support. There are also options for posting on social media or making a quick phone call.

Also, please forward this message to your entire organization. Our goal is for Congress to hear from hundreds of IPC members this summer about the importance of this bill!

It is imperative that the U.S. Government help rebuild the domestic electronics manufacturing industry and reduce supply chain risks.

By the way, you can find the current list of cosponsors in the U.S. House here.
