European Wire Harness Competition - 2026
For the first time in Europe, the Global Electronics Association introduced the Cable & Wire Harness Competition with regional events located in various countries. We are proud to provide you with the results of these competitions and look forward to seeing this competition grow throughout Europe. Cable & Wire Harness Competition 2026 – Hungary Regional Qualification Results from InnoElectro
In conjunction with InnoElectro 2026 in Budapest, the Global Electronics Association hosted the 2026 CWH-Cable & Wire Harness Competition Regional Qualification Hungary on 21–23 April 2026.
During these three days, competitors participated in intense competition sessions designed to test their knowledge of IPC-WHMA-620 standards, as well as their technical expertise, precision, and ability to perform under pressure.
This first Cable & Wire Harness Competition Regional Qualification in Hungary and the third in a row in Europe welcomed 12 participants from 4 companies across Hungary. Competitors were challenged to produce a fully functional wire harness within 60 minutes, working from provided technical drawings and using identical tools and materials. Participants were evaluated according to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards, with judging criteria including crimp accuracy, termination quality, routing, labeling and bundling, overall workmanship, functional performance, and speed.
Taking top honors in Hungary were:
First Place - 2026 Hungary CWH Regional Champion: Ms Kristina Lerant, ACSG Kft. (Hungary) scoring 496 out of a maximum possible 500 points, with a completion time of 52 minutes
Second Place - Ms Eva Nagy Piroska, KUKA Hungária Kft. (Hungary) scoring 493 points, with a completion time of 59 minutes 30 seconds
Third Place - Mr Zoltan Balogh, KUKA Hungária Kft. (Hungary) scoring 490 points, with a completion time of 59 minutes 56 seconds
As the 2026 CWH-Cable & Wire Harness Regional Champion, Ms Kristina Lerant will be invited by the Global Electronics Association, with all expenses covered, to represent Hungary at the Cable & Wire Harness World Championship to take place on 12 & 13 November 2026 at electronica in Munich, Germany.

In conjunction with Global Industrie Paris 2026, the Global Electronics Association hosted the newly introduced 2026 CWH- Cable & Wire Harness Competition Regional Qualification France on 30 March - 2 April 2026.
During these four days, competitors participated in intense competition sessions designed to test knowledge of IPC standards, as well as technical expertise, precision, and the ability to perform under pressure.
This second Cable & Wire Harness Competition Regional Qualification in Europe welcomed 16 participants from 9 companies across 9 teams from France, with an equal representation of 8 women and 8 men. Competitors were challenged to produce a fully functional wire harness within 60 minutes, working from provided technical drawings and using identical tools and materials. Participants were evaluated according to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards, with judging criteria including crimp accuracy, termination quality, routing, labeling and bundling, overall workmanship, functional performance, and speed.
Taking top honors in France were:
First Place - 2026 France CWH Regional Champion: Ms Véronique Gay, THALES (France) scoring 496 out of a maximum possible 500 points, with a completion time of 52 minutes 40 seconds
Second Place: Ms Emmanuelle Lebrun, LACROIX ELECTRONICS (France) scoring 495 points, with a completion time of 58 minutes
Third Place: Ms Nathalie Chateignier, THALES SIX (France) scoring 486 points, with a completion time of 56 minutes 23 seconds

Cable & Wire Harness Competition 2026 – UK Regional Qualification Results from Southern Manufacturing & Electronics
For the first time in Europe, Global Electronics Association introduced the Cable & Wire Harness Competition (CWH) at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics tradeshow in Farnborough, United Kingdom.
The competition welcomed skilled technicians and harness assembly specialists to compete under professional, IPC-WHMA-620 standard requirements at the Global Electronics Association Europe Booth.
Throughout the competition, participants demonstrated expertise in wire preparation, crimping, splicing, soldering, and assembly while producing a fully functional wire harness within a 60-minute time limit. Competitors worked from provided drawings using identical tools and materials.
Completed wire harnesses were evaluated by certified Master IPC Trainers (MITs) in accordance with the IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards. Judging criteria included quality of terminations, crimp accuracy, correct routing and bundling, current continuity, overall appearance, functionality, and speed of completion.
UK Cable & Wire Harness Competition Results
First Place, UK Regional Champion: Adam Fidura, Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology (United Kingdom) –scoring 405 points out of 500 maximum possible points.
Second Place: Mikolaj Klimczak (United Kingdom) – scoring 343 out of 500 points
The successful completion of the UK CWH Regional Qualification represents an important milestone for the Cable & Wire Harness Competition, establishing a strong foundation for future CWH events across Europe throughout the year.
