IPC Hand Soldering Competition 2025 Regional Qualification - Germany

Save the dates for the German Regional Qualification for the IPC Hand Soldering Competition (HSC), taking place at productronica from 18 to 19 November 2025.

Skilled soldering experts will compete to solder a complex printed circuit board assembly within 60 minutes, aiming to win the National title, receive a cash prize, and secure a coveted spot at the IPC Hand Soldering World Championship 2025 that week – on 20 to 21 November 2025.

Professional competitors must solder a complex PCB assembly under IPC‑A‑610 Class 3 criteria, supervised and judged by IPC Master Instructors (MITs). Evaluation criteria include:

  1. Quality of the assembly process

  2. Overall quality of the soldered assembly

  3. Electrical functionality

  4. Speed of execution

Cash prizes will be awarded to top performers:

1st place – €300

2nd place – €200

3rd place – €100

The Champion will be announced during the awards ceremony in the afternoon of 19 November and will automatically secure a spot to compete in the IPC Hand Soldering World Championship at productronica on 20 to 21 November 2025.

Best Company Team Award

Companies can enter two or three competitors for the Hand Soldering Best Company Team Award. The combined top scores from entrants within each company will determine the winning team.

Registration Details:
Registration is free of charge.
No IPC membership or certification required to participate.

All assembly tools and materials will be provided. Competitors only need to bring ESD clothing or a company-branded coat if they wish.
