- An Analysis of the North American Semiconductor and Advanced Packaging Ecosystem; Rebuilding U.S. Capabilities for the 21st Century: Global Electronics Association undertook a thorough, data-driven analysis of the global semiconductor and advanced packaging ecosystem and made 28 recommendations to address capability and capacity gaps within North America.

Chemicals Management
- Preliminary Findings: PFAS Use in the Electronics Industry: Regulators in the United States and the European Union are eyeing chemicals in the per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) class for possible new restrictions. In July 2020, Global Electronics Association conducted this study to gain a better understanding of the evolving policies shaping the production and use of PFAS.
Asia-Pacific
Governments in the Asia-Pacific region have established comprehensive EHS policy frameworks, with a variety of approaches and enforcement mechanisms. To help our members understand and engage in these issues, Global Electronics Association created six white papers, each of which highlights the history of chemical regulations, current regulatory systems, recent regulatory updates, and anticipated trends in the following countries:
EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE
- Findings on the Skills Gap in U.S. Electronics Manufacturing reports on the results of a 2017 Global Electronics Association survey of U.S. electronics assembly manufacturers on the impact of the skills gap. It identifies the hardest-to-fill production and engineering/professional positions, reasons applicants did not qualify, educational requirements for hard-to-fill positions, essential skills in short supply, the effect of H-1B visa availability, and companies’ outlook for expanding their workforces and their businesses in the next year. 31 pages.
- 2022 Wage Rate and Salary Study for the North American Electronics Assembly Industry: Electronics assembly companies in North America can use the data in the report to gauge the competitiveness of their compensation, benefits and policies in order to compete for the best talent in the industry.
