Hand Soldering World Championship Featured in SMT007 Magazine
We are pleased to announce that “China Leads the Hand Soldering World Championship” has been published in SMT007 Magazine, part of the iConnect007 platform.
The article reports on the Hand Soldering World Championship, held in November 2025 at productronica in Munich. The event brought together 16 regional champions from 12 countries, who competed under IPC-A-610 Class 3 criteria. Participants were challenged to complete a complex printed circuit board assembly within 60 minutes, with assemblies evaluated on functionality, process compliance, and overall product quality.
The 2025 Hand Soldering World Championship was won by Ms. Yan Yang, ZhuZhou CRRC Times Electric Co. (China), who achieved a score of 871 out of a maximum possible 887 points, demonstrating exceptional precision and technical expertise. Second and third place were awarded to competitors from France and Hungary, respectively, underlining the global level of excellence represented at the competition.

Upcoming Competitions – United Kingdom, February 2026
Following the World Championship, the next stage of the competition cycle will take place in the United Kingdom.
The UK Regional Qualification for the IPC Hand Soldering Competition (HSC) will be held at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre from 3–5 February 2026, during Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2026.
In parallel, a new discipline will be introduced in Europe for the first time: the Cable & Wire Harness Competition (CWH). The CWH competition will run alongside the HSC and will be hosted at our booth during the event, expanding the competition portfolio to include cable and wire harness assembly skills.
