Key objectives to validating a new test method procedure are covered, including the usage of objective evidence to verify that the elements defined within a method fulfill the intended use, and that the method yields repeatable and reproducible results when executed by multiple facilities. The document also addresses methods that use test equipment provided by a single source manufacturer or methods based on the usage of patented equipment or technologies.
