IPC and High Density Package Users Group (HDP), a trade organization representing companies involved in the supply chain of manufacturing products that utilize high-density electronic packages and printed circuit boards, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), enabling a strengthened partnership, increased technical collaboration between groups, and providing a mutual path toward emerging and disruptive high density interconnect (HDI) technologies.

The Wiring Harness Manufacturer’s Association (WHMA) launched a new corporate logo, marking the most dramatic change in its visual identity since 1993. Striving to maintain the iconic and recognizable look was a primary goal but the new logo better reflects the corporate brand as it looks towards WHMA’s future goals.

The Wiring Harness Manufacturer’s Association (WHMA) is now providing Spanish speakers quick and convenient language access through a new Spanish-language website at www.whma.org. With the launch of this new site, WHMA is now able to provide important industry information directly to Spanish-speaking professionals.

IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries® today announced it will offer an association health plan to IPC/WHMA members, extending affordable health care to small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in approved states. In states where the association health plan is not available, IPC will connect manufacturers with available small-group options in their states.

With feedback from IPC members, the membership team has developed a more comprehensive dues structure to make it simple for all divisions, groups and employees of a company to access the rich suite of IPC member benefits.

IPC’s statistical programs for the rigid printed circuit board (PCB), flexible circuit and contract electronics manufacturing (EMS) industries in North America are now open to new participants for 2018. The deadline for IPC members to sign up is February 2. Participation is free to IPC-member companies as a benefit of membership.
